Felipe baeza

Felipe Baeza (b.1987, Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico) is a brooklyn-based visual artist whose work explores transformation, memory, and identity through painting, collage, and printmaking. he earned his BFA from cooper union in 2009 and his MFA from Yale University in 2018, developing a distinct practice that marges rich textures with themes of resilience and reinvention.

Recently we have been working closely with Baeza to create a series of monoprints, a process that perfectly complements his ethos of reinvention and material experimentation. Each Print is a singular work, imbued with his signature layering techniques and a intense, physical engagement with surface and form. this collaboration is not just about producing prints, it is about expanding the language of printmaking itself, pushing it into new realms of depth, texture and meaning.

Silkscreen & Collage mono-prints

This work was created using the artist’s unique process, which involves painting directly onto the silkscreen with watercolor paints and then printing the image onto paper. While multiple prints can be produced, each one is unique, with different patterns and textures. These prints serve as the background, onto which additional layers are printed using traditional silkscreen methods. Finally, separate silkscreen-printed elements are cut and collaged onto the piece to complete the work.
